A tree near my house at the end of my run this morning. I thought it was worth snapping a picture. |
So, I just realized that it's been 2 weeks since I last posted. Why didn't anyone tell me!? Oh wait, seeing all of the posts of my fellow bloggers should have told me that I haven't posted in a while. Like reading about the latest posts from
Wine to Weightlifting. She's a runner, weightlifter, and crossfitter! I've also been reading about how Erik (a.k.a. the "
Running Moose") has been recovering from surgery and his "reentry" back into running. There's also Jeff over at
Barefoot Inclined. He's a barefoot/minimalist runner that has been doing a lot of reading lately. And I can't forget about Caroline over at
I <3 Running (founder of the
Running Bloggers group) as she is now trying to see if she will be able to run the
Marine Corp Marathon in October. But, enough about what I'm reading for now.

Post-run yesterday morning. |
So, I have to admit that I haven't been very consistent in running lately. I need to be kicked in the behind. I know, but I have done some running.....just not enough. Especially with Spartan, Tough Mudder, and the G.O.A.T.z trail run coming in September and October. These aren't easy runs. I need to get my butt in gear. And so I have been. I have been starting to get up at 5 A.M. (you read that right) instead of 6ish. I started yesterday and have been tagging my posts about my runs with #5am5k as I am up at 5 A.M. and I will be running at least a 5k everyday. So, if you are following me on
Instagram,
Twitter,
MapMyRun, or you are a friend of mine of Facebook you can check me out everyday that I run.
Keep a lookout on Dreadmill Drummer as I was contacted by a couple of companies lately to do some product reviews and they are also providing me with product for my readers. So, at least 2 giveaways coming soon. And many more product reviews beyond that. Some that are WAAAAYYY overdue.
Until next time, keep those beats coming!
Thanks for the blog shoutout! :)
ReplyDeleteSo impressed about the 5am dedication! I don't know how all you crazy runner folk do it! ;) I am quite happy right now with my one run a week.. if that.. I suffer this #twomilesuck and struggle so much to mentally get past it! Did you see my last blog post about it? Would love a runner's input!

Delete5k at 5 AM!?!? Holy cow! Awesome Cecil!! That's dedication!! And thanks for the shout out!
ReplyDeleteNo problem. I looked at my schedule and work has been getting in the way of my "runch" lately so I had to come up with a way to fit in my runs in a way that wouldn't impact my schedule. It works well so far.
DeleteKeep it up Cecil! Look forward to reading more about your progress.
ReplyDeleteThanks Baz! I'm trying to find out what works for me. I should have no problem keeping this up. Cheers!
