So, being a father of 5 kids I knew that I would "have" to share this with at least one of my kids. I was eyeing the prices and know that I can get a 15% discount I figured that I could get myself a band and one of my kids a band! Between the 4 kids old enough to have one of these the boys stick out as contenders to get one. Ryan has been running at school and even joined the track. They have him pegged as a sprinter and he even won 1st place in the 100 meter event! Caden has been running as well with me and with my wife. The thing that edged out Caden over Ryan was his Prader-Willi Syndrome. This can serve as an emergency contact information tag for him as well as alert people as to his need to be watched around food. Now to budget and plan when I can get the other 3 kids a band, because if you know our family at all we keep it fair between all of our kids. So, a Road ID for the other kids will be coming soon. Birthday? Christmas? We shall see.

ReplyDeleteThanks Deb! The 4 older kids go running all of the time. Our 5 year old daughter is going to be our distance runner I think. She asks to go for "just a little more" when ever the other kids are ready to head back in!
DeleteCongrats! I need to pick up a Road ID too. Even though I should, I don't usually carry any ID with me and a Road ID is a smart thing to use.
ReplyDeleteWhen I run with music I usually have an armband on with my phone in it and my ID is usually behind that along with emergency money. This will alleviate the chance that I will lose my ID now and be one less thing that I will have to put back into my wallet. Thanks for reading.
